The Art of the Dragonlance Saga of one of only a handful of TSR produced art books and the only one dedicated to a specific setting. I guess that's no wonder... mountains of artwork were produced for Dragonlance, many in a fairly short time frame. As a massive, multi-media event, multitudes of high-quality art were necessary and the guys delivered. Elmore, Caldwell, Parkinson, Easley and others created some of the most memorable and recognizable images in RPG history. DLE3 Dragon Keep is the third and final chapter on the Dragonlance epic series which began with DLE1 In Search of Dragons and continued with DLE2 Dragon Magic. As you would consider appropriate for an epic scale adventure, this one goes big and goes strange. The locales, though definitely Krynnish, aren't what you would typically expect. There's adventure at the bottom of the Blood Sea as well as a trip to the home of the astral dragons in the Abyss. The bulk of the adventure, however, takes place on Lunitari, one of the moons of Krynn. In fact, it offers a big ol' hexcrawling opportunity that fits nicely between the typically scripted beginning and end. Sadly, most of the characters and lore from the DLE series were never seen or used again... it was actually pretty necessary to expunge the astral dragon material entirely as it directly conflicted with every other piece of Dragonlance canon regarding the origin of dragons. #dungeonsanddragons #advanceddungeonsanddragons #adnd #dnd #dandd #rpg #roleplayinggame #tabletoprpg #trpg #dragonlance

Сходил на фэнтези-мюзикл "Последнее испытание". Честно скажу - особых ожиданий от данного представления у меня не было. Поскольку я не являюсь поклонником данного жанра. Я даже так в свое время и не посмотрел кинематографическую версию нашумевшего мьюзикла "Чикаго". И тем более я не ходил на мьюзикл "Нотр Дам Де Пари" от которого все сходили с ума в начале 2000-х и даже не слушал саундтрек, который в те годы звучал из каждого утюга. Кроме того, я не являюсь толкиенистом и приверженцем любой другой фэнтезийной вселенной, в т.ч. вселенной "Сага о копье", на базе которой создан данный проект. Но мне стало очень любопытно. Ведь это полностью отечественной проект, который показывается уже не первый год, и если бы это было что-то проходное - мьюзикл так долго бы просто не просуществовал. C первых же минут постановка захватывает и не отпускает до самого конца. Декорации, костюмы, визуальные эффекты - все на высшем уровне. Шикарная музыка, яркая игра актеров, постоянный эшен. В текстах диалогах и текстах песен прослеживаются интересные социально-философские темы. Присутствует как комейдиная составляющая, так и глубокий драматизм. Единственное, что мне мешало до конца погрузиться в действо это сюжет, насыщенный большим количеством специфических персонажей и фантастических допущений. А учитывая жанр, в рамках которого события развиваются с каледоскопической скоростью, очень тяжело за один раз осмыслить все сюжетные перипетии и проникнуться мотивацией героев, поэтому видимо придется как-нибудь сходить еще раз, тем более оно того стоит. Кстати, интересный факт - литературная основа мьюзикла насчитывает более 190 романов. Однако режиссер постарался сделать постановку максимально понятной масовому зрителю, поэтому из фэнтезийной вселенной Dragonlance взяты только персонажи и общая сюжетная канва серии "Трилогия легенд", так что по сути это самостоятельное произведение.
