The shirt says it all I hope everyone is having a fab weekend!! I don’t usually post pictures of myself on here but today was a beautiful, food filled day + I was super happy so I wanted to share– finally made the trek to @smorgasburg in Brooklyn (basically a foodie fest with tons of different vendors that goes on every weekend!!) How’s my new accessory for the next 3 weeks? Im going to have to get used to it because it’s carrying well-portioned meals that i need to discipline myself with! I definitely went overboard in Ramadan and during the Eid holidays ‍♀️ I’M DONE with #overeating, food tastings and restaurant invitations so my humble request to restaurants - I’m putting your invitations on hold for the next few weeks This girl is on a mission to lose 10 pounds! I know it’s going to be super hard to stay away from chocolates ❌☹️ But I need your #motivation guys... Thanks to my new #nutritionist and #dietician @mitunds for coming up with a meal plan with @simplyhealthydiets , can’t wait to see the results, I’m only hearing amazing things about them so decided to give them a try! On a call with one of my online clients yesterday this was our main focus point. - Follow @adviceonfitness Post by @sarahdufflifestyleandfitness - The call was a good reminder for myself on how important self care and why it needs to be a priority. - My client has just started her own business so currently juggling a whole load of balls...experiencing the things most of us do in these high stress times. Overwhelm Task paralysation Putting herself on the back burner - These are my biggest stress reactions so it’s such a familiar story! - At times of stress in attempt to try and get more done to try and relieve it the 1st thing to get sacrificed is anything we do for ourselves. - We end up on the back burner of our life cooker on simmer maybe even off rather than on the front ring on full where we should be. - The thing I discussed with my client yesterday was that actually putting herself on the back burner is actually a false economy. - I know my clients gym time is essential for her brain health it makes her feel good it it helps her focus and perform better in other areas of life - All things needed to be to be able to cope with everything else she has going on so it needs to be a priority for her. - For all of us to be able to show up everyday as the best version of ourselves we have to make sure that we are making our own self care a priority. - When you are able to be your best self this means that not just you but everyone in your life benefits - I know making yourself a priority will feel strange and may even raise feelings of guilt for some you, but remember we are all of equal importance, so don’t down play the importance of you in your own life. - Looking after you is nothing to feel guilty about you are 100% worth it. - TAG a friend who needs a reminder how important they are.

My truth... I am 100% completely an introvert. Do I love people? Yes. Do I love to socialize? Yes. I truly believe that we are meant to be together in this universe, and not alone. But being around people 24/7 for long periods of time completely overwhelms me. I start to feel my anxiety rise. I become irritable. I lose patience easier with the people I’m around. My breathing shortens. I begin to lose clarity in my thoughts. And the thing that I’ve realized in the past is that I sometimes suppress these feelings instead of honoring what I really need. But as I age and learn more about myself and hopefully accumulate some wisdom through experience, I know when I’m reaching that limit and need to take a step back and just be in my own company.
