#motivationmonday Sometimes i get so upset what the number on the scale reads. But i know weight goes up and down. You retain water or you got a really good poop going to happen. Also know my weight isnt correct on the scale because of the amount of lose skin i still have. My doctor told me not to lose anymore and maintain at 184 pounds. Im actually under that. Im no longer at my lowest weight i was of 161 pounds. Im glad for that because at that point i was workout to much and hardly eating anything. I can tell you weightloss is a mental journey. Im constantly working on just being healthy. Putting good foods into my body and staying active. I reach my goal of become healthy from being a girl that was over 400 pounds to someone who can walk, run, and enjoy life. The picture on the left was November 2015 and on the right is july 2019. I can proudly say at the end of the day im happy that ive maintain a healthy lifestyle and kept the weight off. Today I’m feeling immense gratitude for this body of mine. A month and a half ago I received a diagnosis of Hashimotos hypothyroid... My acne, fatigue, and inflammation finally had its root cause. As an avid adventure lover I’d always push myself... even when that pushing meant I’d end my day with nothing left in the tank... in fact if there was a way to have negative reserves in the tank that would be me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve taken the last month or so to implement major changes to diet and lifestyle. Even though it might not appear like it, I’ve slowed down a LOT. I’ve been feeling better and better as the weeks go by and this week I felt called to try a little test... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today I went on a 13 mile hike with about 3,500ft elevation gain. Now that might not seem like a lot to some of you but that’s my biggest mileage day.. ever. And do you know what was the best part? It felt amazing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It was the first time ever I did that much decline and my hips and knees didn’t hurt. It was the first time in years that I felt like I was expending muscle energy and not draining my internal energy. It was the first big hike that I’ve done where not only am I not totally depleted after but I’m actually still energized! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I could cry tears of joy and gratitude for all of these tiny victories that feel so huge. If you are struggling with your health... I feel your pain.. and if there’s anything I can say it’s don’t give up on yourself! It took me years of searching to find my answers and my path but I’m here now. All the time and tears and money I spent were worth it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 13 miles... onward and upward.

Let’s talk BIRTH CONTROL and hormones. I just shared on my insta story how I was temporarily put back on birth control in order to control my cycle to prepare for IVF injections, and after only FOUR DAYS of being on BC, it made my thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) skyrocket. WHAT IN THE WORLD?! . I was on birth control for 12 years straight and NEVER did I hear anything about how it can alter or mess with your hormones. I mean... it makes perfect sense when I think about it now I am just so blown away by how, at 30 years old, I am still learning about my body, hormones and what impacts it. Heck, I think we as a society are just starting to more widely learn about it!! . This is in no way to say not to use birth control, but to educate yourself about the side effects. I just wish I knew this earlier since there are links (nothing conclusive, that I know of...) between long term birth control use and multiple negative side effects. . • “Are you in there little fetus? In nine months will you come greet us? I will buy you some Adidas.” - Phoebe Buffay ❄️ . I got our preliminary & very much estimated schedule for our FET last night from our clinic. *cue instant panic* this is all just starting to feel so real...well, I guess because it is [] It is just so scary because right now our little embaby is frozen/safe... Key word being “safe” . They are estimating my CD1 to start on August 31st & if it hasn’t started by then we will jump start my cycle using provera. [I have had to use provera for every IUI & IVF cycle... hypothalamic amenorreah is dumb] BUT! Happy news is that we will be in Arizona relaxing at a resort, which is the perfect way to start this process in my mind... am I rightttttttttt? You will find me floating in the lazy river✌ . From there they will have me start birth control for two weeks. After the first week of BC I will start my Lupron injections . They have an estimated date on September 19th for my suppression check & the following day from suppression check (if body is doing what it is supposed to and is ready) I will start Estrace patches. They want to work me up from 1 patch to 3 patches . An estimated date of October 1st will be my appointment to check my lining and make sure that we are good to go. If we are, then I will be coming back into the clinic on October 7th for our #FET. They also said that they want me to remain on the estrogen patches until the 10th week of pregnancy . Whoa... Pregnancy . What if this actually WORKS!? We will be PARENTS as soon as October. Holy guacamole. . Welp, there you have it. The latest update... and as you all are WELL aware of-- it is very much subject to change. Our bodies never like to follow schedules, do they? ‍♀️ . HUGS
